Carlos Tevez- Will he ever mend his ways

Laughing his way to Inter Milan ... is he or is he not ???

Tevez always seems to have a trick up his sleeve, the flamboyant striker looks all set to leave his club Manchester City this summer. A few days ago he was photographed at Sardinia and guess who was with him, Marco Branca – the head of technical staff at Inter Milan. Perhaps he is too greedy or perhaps he is too ambitious, or perhaps that’s the way he is, Tevez looks all set to make a move to Italy. Despite his antics nobody could doubt the quality of Tevez as a player, in the past two years he has made 63 appearances for Man City scoring 43 times. Last year he captained his side and brought them F.A cup glory, few would have predicted that he will leave the club in summer. But that’s the way it has always been with Carlos or ‘Carlito’.

Till date he has played for numerous clubs like Boca Juniors, Corinthians, West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City. He started his career at the age of sixteen by joining Boca Juniors, he made his senior side appearence in 2001 and in past 10 years he has played for 5 clubs !!!!!

Looks like he seems to eager to jump the boat every time, if a good financial offer comes he will be more than willing to leave the club. It often dismays the football fan to see that the guy has no sense of loyalty or affection towards the club or the place where he has displayed and honed his skills . He has always been the crowd’s favorite, but looks like their affection is not reciprocated nor cared about by him.

Where will you go this summer, sir !!!

One cannot help but remember West Ham-Sheffield United saga , where the Hammers had to pay 20 million pounds to Sheffield United over a period of 5 years over transfer irregularities to meet a out-of-court settlement. When he joined Manchester United from West Ham he won over fans with his energy and ability to struck goal at crucial moments. When ManU offered West Ham 25.5 million pounds and promised Tevez a salary that would have made him one of the top earners, one would have expected Tevez to stay. The fans were amazed and astonished when he made his desire to leave Manchester United public and in 2009 he joined cross city rivals Manchester City.

But turbulent times followed even at Manchester City, in the first season he was often complaining about the club’s lack of intent or sometimes he would have problem with the manager. When Roberto Mancini made him captain for 2010-2011, it seemed to outsider that all was well and good. Yet again Tevez surprised everyone by putting transfer request to club in December 2010, the club refused to let him go and so Tevez stayed. The season 2010-2011 ended on a high note when Manchester City won the F.A cup and Tevez was Premier League’s joint scorer along side Berbatov, but looks like he will once again reprise the role of a villain by going to another club. It is the least that he deserves, he is likely to face the wrath of football faithful for they are tired of his antics. He may go back to Corinthians,or he may join Inter Milan or may be AC Milan, but one thing is for sure he is unlikely to stay there for more than 2 seasons as his past records suggest. The fans are asking him to be more loyal, respectful and less greedy but looks like their calls are falling on deaf ears. And the ever in demand Argentine looks unlikely to mend his ways.
