Manchester City walked away with all three points from the Premier League champions' home. Kevin De Bruyne scored the one goal of the game as Chelsea struggle to find feet.

Here are the talking points from the game:

#5 - Antonio Conte's costly mistakes

From the starting XI to substitutions, Antonio Conte made mistake after mistake in the loss to Manchester City. Victor Moses was benched but instead of playing Zappacosta, he opted for Gary Cahill with Azpilicueta playing wing-back.

The move failed drastically and Manchester City capitalized on it. Antonio Rudiger was having a tough time with Leroy Sane and Azpilicueta was confused a lot of time on whether he should be attacking or staying back.

When Morata got injured, instead of bringing on Batshuayi, Conte opted for Willian. He expected the Brazilian and Hazard to get behind the Manchester City defenders but the duo was not able to link up at all.

#4 - Fabian Delph impresses again

Fabian Delph has been playing as a left-back for the last couple of games as cover for the injured Benjamin Mendy. While it raised a few eyebrows at the start, he's proved how good he is at adapting.

The former Aston Villa man has been brilliant in his defensive duties and has been making the spot his own. His energy and vision have made sure that Guardiola does now miss Mendy so much.

Guardiola confirmed that he wanted to sign a new left-back in January but with Delp playing so well, that plan might be scraped soon.

#3 - Christensen shines again

On a day when all the Chelsea players were not able to play to their levels, Christesen stood out. The Danish international proved once again why he should be playing regularly for the Premier League champions.

David Luiz's suspension saw Antonio Conte turn to Christensen to fill the void in the starting Xi and he did a brilliant job once again. He kept Gabriel Jesus quiet for the entire game and the Brazilian had to switch his position to have a shot on goal.

With Luiz's suspension over, it would be interesting to see what Conte does. Benching the Danish defender would be harsh on him while not playing Luiz would be a big change in the team.

#2 - Kevin de Bruyne haunts Chelsea

Selling Kevin de Bruyne was probably the biggest mistake Jose Mourinho made at Chelsea. The Belgian has been in stunning form ever since he left Stamford Bridge and is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world right now.

His goal and link up to the moment he shot the ball showed his quality. If anyone ever had a doubt about him, that one move was enough to prove how good he is. The goal he scored too was with his weaker foot – and it was a thunder strike!

Antonio Conte would have loved to work with the Belgian at Stamford Bridge and things would have been so different had Mourinho showed a little trust in him.

#1 - How many more chances for Willian?

Woeful Willian

When Alvaro Morata got injured, Antonio Conte got Willian to replace him. The Brazilian was supposed to link up with Eden Hazard and get in behind the Manchester City defenders.

However, the Brazilian failed to do both. His touches near the lines were going out for throw-ins and when he stepped up to take a free kick, he hit it straight at Raheem Sterling – who was the one man wall!

This isn't the first time Willian has played so badly for Chelsea. Should Chelsea have cashed in on him when Manchester United enquired in the summer and gone for an upgrade? Right now, the answer is a big YES!
