What's the news?

Chelsea's manager, Maurizio Sarri believes that Gonzalo Higuain is a very suitable player to play alongside Eden Hazard and can bring the best out of the Belgian international.

In case you didn't know...

Eden Hazard is arguably the best player in the Premier League and is playing in a terrific form for the Blues this season. He registered 12 goals and 10 assists in the league thus far this campaign and is the favorite to win the PFA Player of the Season accolade,

On the other hand, Gonzalo Higuain joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus last winter but already made his mark at the club. He scored a brace in the Londoners' last game against Huddersfield Town and linked up well with Hazard.

The heart of the matter

Maurizio Sarri thinks that Gonzalo Higuain is a great player and is very useful for Eden Hazard. He said:

“I think Gonzalo is a great player,”. “He did very well everywhere. In Madrid, in Naples, in Milan. Maybe not very well in Milan, but he's a great player and I think he's very useful for Eden.
"They are really very suitable to play together, I think. It's very important for us he's determined. I think the impact with other players will really be very good for us.”

The Italian also gives an update on Hazard's future at the club:

“I speak every day with Eden, but I speak with Eden about his position on the pitch, not about [speculation]… I will be really very happy with him if he will want to stay because, in my opinion, he's the best in Europe.
"And so I would be really very happy, but it's up to him, I think. I want to see him happy. And so, he has to decide.”

What's next?

Chelsea's primary objective this season would be finishing in the 'top-four' and will play Manchester City away in the league next.
