Chelsea and their kit sponsors Adidas have unveiled the club’s new third kit for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

The club feels that the “futuristic design” will go down well with the fans. The design features includes black-on-black prints and plenty of ventilation.

There is a dash of silver in the kit as well, as the club’s crest along with the stripes, running down to the edge of the sleeve’s end sport a silver finish.

Chelsea sported their first all-black away kit in the 2002/03 season, and the present kit has been remodelled on the same basis. Adidas believes that the new jersey would “give the players an edge on the pitch”.
