Manchester United target Alex Sandro on the verge of joining Chelsea

According to The Mirror, Antonio Conte is set to beat Jose Mourinho in the race to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus.

There are reports that a £50m deal will be tabled by Chelsea for the full-back, whom the Blues targeted last summer as well, but failed to get.

The Serie A champions are ready to let the 26-year-old leave the Allianz Stadium as they have identified Bayer Leverkusen's Wendell as the Brazilian's potential replacement.

Sandro, who has scored a goal and provided five assists in 19 appearances in all competitions this term, is contracted to the Old Lady until the summer of 2020.

David Luiz and Michy Batshuayi might leave Stamford Bridge

Goal.com has claimed that David Luiz and Michy Batshuayi might leave Stamford Bridge in the ongoing transfer window.

Antonio Conte has also made it clear that he will not stop any player from leaving if he finds a suitable replacement in time.

There have been claims that Luiz, who had a fall-out with Conte, has already agreed to a deal with Real Madrid as the 30-year-old is doubtful about his future in London under the Italian manager.

As far as Batshuayi is concerned, the striker is not unhappy at Chelsea but wants more playing chances to book his place in Belgium’s World Cup squad.

The 24-year-old started only two Premier League games this term as Conte preferred to play Eden Hazard as a forward ahead of his fellow Belgian in the absence of Alvaro Morata.
