After the settling of the dust over the Christian Pulisic signing, stories concerning Chelsea have continued to churn-out stories non-stop.

With the £58m American star secured for next season, attention has turned to other incomings and outgoings. The likes of Gary Cahill, Cesc Fabregas, Victor Moses, Davide Zappacosta amongst others have been linked to potential exits.

This is understandable as the Blues board would like to reduce the average age of the squad which currently stands at 27.5. Except for problem positions like the centre-forward role, the priority will be on younger players.

Here is a look at some of the latest transfer stories involving the Blues:

#1 Blues abandon chase for Argentine hot-shot

According to reports, Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri has given up on the pursuit of AC Milan striker, Gonzalo Higuain.

The 31-year-old international was sent on loan to AC Milan by Juventus to pave way for the eventual of Cristiano Ronaldo to the Allianz Stadium. The Blues have had big problems with scoring this season as strikers Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have not pulled up any trees.

Both men who cost the club a combined £78m have only scored 6 goals in all competitions between them so far this season. Despite playing in a poor Milan side, Higuain has already scored 8 goals this season.

However, according to Goal.com, the Blues board are wary of dealing with two clubs; AC Milan and Juventus for the striker's signature. The feeling is that both clubs would want to extract a high fee for the Argentine.

#2 Expected departure for captain may happen soon

Cahill may be on his way out of Chelsea

Gary Cahill has been a fine servant for the Blues since he joined from Bolton Wanderers in a £7m deal. The 33-year-old has been instrumental in a lot of major triumphs for the team including the 2012 UEFA Champions League title.

However, it seems father time has caught up with the former England international. Despite being club captain, he has been frozen out since Sarri took over at Stamford Bridge. His rugged style of play is not in sync with the new manager's tactics a.k.a Sarri-ball.

As a result, reports from Goal.com indicate that while the Blues are willing to let him leave the club, it would have to be on a permanent basis depending on other transfer business.

Fulham is the one club that has been consistently linked to Cahill and while Claudio Ranieri would love his experience at Craven Cottage, Chelsea will only consider the deal if its a transfer and not a loan deal.

This is to provide funds for the Blues' to pursue all targets and it remains to be seen if its something the Cottagers will agree to.

#3 Bayern Munich make a renewed bid for Chelsea youngster

The rumours linking Chelsea youth prodigy Hudson Callum-Odoi to German giants Bayern Munich have refused to die down. With the arrival of Pulisic and the fact that Hudson-Odoi's contract is about to run down, the Blues board are open to the idea of selling the youngster for a hefty sum.

There are 18 months left on the teen star's contract and he has so far refused to sign a new deal as he wants guarantees of regular first-team action. With Sarri unwilling to offer such guarantees, Bayern is said to have been encouraged to sign the youngster.

With Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery set to leave the Bavarians at the end of the season, that leaves Serge Gnarby and Kingsley Coman as the only recognized wingers at Bayern. With that in mind, the Germans have made an initial £20m offer which has reportedly been rejected by the Blues board.

The Sun is reporting that the Germans have made an improved £30m bid for the Englishman who has expressed his desire to move to the Bundesliga, It remains to be seen if the new numbers will do the trick for the move to happen.
