Reports: Chelsea to battle Barcelona to sign £25 million-rated forward
What’s the rumour?
Chelsea are Barcelona are interested in signing Yann Karamah according to the Mirror. The 19-year-old forward has impressed during his loan spell at Inter Milan.
Karamoh joined the San Siro side on a 2-year loan deal from Caen at the start of this season. Inter have an obligation to buy him at the end of the 2018/19 season but Chelsea & Barcelona are looking to sign him up this summer.
In case you didn’t know...
Karamoh is a 19-year-old forward who was born in Ivory Coast. However, he has represented France in the U21 stage.
He was a part of Racing Colombes 92's academy before heading to Caen. He joined them in 2011 and the move to Inter is his first move away from the club.
The heart of the matter
Karamoh has scored just once for Inter Milan this season – the winner vs Bologna on 11th February. But still, Chelsea and Barcelona have seen his qualities and have set sights on signing him.
The forward can play on the right wing and also as an out and out striker. He is dubbed as the next Kylian Mbappe by a lot despite the PSG star being just 20 years old – a year older than Karamoh.
The Mirror report suggests that the forward is keen on moving to England. He has already informed his friends of his desire to play in the Premier League according to the same report.
The Sun has added to this story and claimed that Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in signing the French striker.
