Chelsea football club have also loaned many of their players who are regarded surplus to their requirement . GOALKEEPER

Thibaut Courtois – He was bought from Anderlecht for 12 million two years ago and was loaned out to Atletico Madrid during the same time. He has played 2 seasons there and has established himself as one of best goalkeepers in La Liga. He keeps regular clean sheets and even Barcelona are interested in him. He is a very able successor to the great Petr Cech.

DEFENDERS

Dutch Eredivisie - Vitesse Arnhem v RKC Waalwijk

Patrick van Aanholt (LB) – He is on loan to the Dutch club Vitesse. He has established himself as the best left back in the Dutch league. There are talks of him replacing Ashley Cole next season at the club. He is one of the best product of the Chelsea academy. This season he has also shown his attacking nature by scoring 2 goals and 5 assists. He would fit in any top club in the world.

Thomas Kalas (RB) – He was bought from the Czech club Sigma Olomouc in 2011. He is also on loan to Vitesse and has also established himself in the starting lineup of the club. He can also play as centre half. He has been a revelation this season, scoring 4 goals. He adds to the club’s ever incresing right back options.

Nathaniel Chalobah (CB) – He is just 18 years old and is considered the next John Terry by football pundits. He is on loan to championship club Watford under guidance of former Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola. He captained the Chelsea U19 side to FA youth cup triumph last season. He can also play as a midfield pivot. It was only due to his performances that he has found his way into the starting line-up, considering the depth of the Watford squad. He has impressed everyone by his performances this season and many premier league clubs will be interested in getting him on loan next season.

Euro U21 Qualifier - Holland U21 v Austria U21

Jeffrey Bruma (CB) – He joined Chelsea from Feyenoord in 2007. He is on loan to the German club Hamburger SV. He has established himself as a regular starter there. He has even played for the Dutch national team. He can be a very good asset for Chelsea next season as the club can strengthen its depth in the centre back position.

DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD

Real Madrid CF v Real Zaragoza - La Liga

Michael Essien (CM) – The ‘bison’ of Chelsea squad, he was loaned to Real Madrid in summer as he was considered surplus to the club’s requirements. At the age of 30, he is finding place in the starting line-up of the Real squad which is regarded among the best in world. It speaks volumes of his strength.

Middlesbrough v Hull City - npower Championship

Josh McEachran (CM) – Regarded as the next Frank Lampard. He has been with the club since he was 7. This 19 year old youngster is on loan to Middlesbrough and is helping them chase promotion. He has shown lots of promise and can replace Frank Lampard in the team if he leaves next season.

ATTACKING MIDFIELD

Dutch Cup - Vitesse Arnhem v ADO 20

Gael Kakuta (LWM) – He has been with the club since he was 16 years old. He was considered the next big thing at the club but faded afterwards. Currently, he is on loan to Vitesse. He has great speed and great talent. This season, he has shown great performances and has become integral part of Vitesse who are chasing the Dutch title with players on loan fro Chelsea.

SV Werder Bremen v Borussia Moenchengladbach - Bundesliga

Kevin de Bruyn (CAM) – He was purchased from Genk after his performances against Chelsea in Champions League last season for 7 million and loaned to German club Werder Bremen. He has been a revelation there and scored 4 times this season. He is regarded as the best youth talent in Bundesliga. He has also improved his defensive abilities for which he was criticized many times. He can easily find place in Chelsea’s squad next season.

Zulte Waregem v Cercle Brugge - Jupiler League

Thorgan Hazard (RWM) – He is the younger brother of Chelsea star Eden Hazard. He was purchased from French club RC Lens in summer. He is on loan to Belgian club Zulte Waregem and has shown his talent there. Due to his efforts, Zulte are near the top of Belgian league and has proved that he has more talent then his older brother.

ATTACK

West Bromwich Albion v Fulham - Premier League

Romelu Lukaku (ST) – The young 19 year old Belgian prodigy was bought from Anderlecht for 18 million. He is on loan to premier league club West Bromwich Albion . He is regarded as the next Didier Drogba due to his physical strength. He is scoring for fun for West Brom and has become Steve Clarke’s favourite. He can physically overpower any defender easily. He only needs to improve his finishing abilities. He can easily compete with Torres and Ba for a starting place in team next season.

BENCH

Ulises Davila (ST) – He is a promising young Mexican. He is on loan to the Spanish first division club Sabadell and has scored 8 goals this season.

Patrick Bamford (ST) – He was bought from Nottingham Forest last summer. He was scoring goals for fun in youth matches and also gave 2 assists in his first match for MK Dons on loan.

Milan Lalkovic (ST) – He is a Slovakian striker on loan to Portuguese club Vitoria. He has great pace and trickery, but his dribbling is his best asset.

Kenneth Omeruo (RB) – He is a young Nigerian defender on loan to ADO Den Haag. He is a regular starter for them. He is also in AFCON squad for Nigeria.
