Barcelona beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the El Clásico at the Santiago Bernebeu in the La Liga on Saturday. The only goal of the game was scored by Ivan Rakitic. This was Barcelona's third win at the Santiago Bernebeu against the Los Blancos this season. In the first half, Barcelona looked the more dominant in terms of possession, but they couldn't carve an opening in the early minutes, while Real Madrid looked dangerous on the counterattack. But, Barcelona took the lead in the 26th minute through Ivan Rakitic, through a brilliant move by Barcelona, after a simple give and go between the Croatian and Sergi Roberto opened up the Real Madrid defence.Real Madrid clearly lacked quality in the final third and Luka Modric missed the two opportunities he had. Barcelona looked the better side though, and Thibaut Courtois had to make a good save to keep his team in the game going into the second half.In the second half, the home team started with a higher intensity, but they lacked the final ball. Real Madrid could only fashion out some half chances but they couldn't find the decisive touch that was needed. Marc Andre Ter-Stegan had very little to do in both halves, only having to make some very regular saves. In the dying moments of the game, Lionel Messi missed a brilliant chance to make it 2-0 for Barcelona. Also see : Fantasy Premier League , Fantasy Premier League Tips, EPL Transfer NewsIt wasn't a vintage performance from Barcelona by any stretch, but they got over the line.
