Cristiano Ronaldo to throw first pitch at L.A Dodgers game today

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will be present at Wednesday’s baseball game between the L.A.Dodgers and the New York Yankees at Dodger Stadium. He is scheduled to throw the first pitch before the start of the game, according to a news update from SportsCenter.

The player is in Los Angeles, USA, along with his Real Madrid team-mates to participate in two games of the International Cup of Champions, to be held in the same stadium on August 3. The tournament features 8 teams – MLS side L.A. Galaxy and 6 other European clubs, Serie A sides Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan, English sides Chelsea and Everton and another La Liga outfit in Valencia apart from Madrid.

The tournament kicked off this past Saturday at the Mestalla in Valencia, where the hosts were beaten 2-1 by AC Milan. Galaxy and Madrid will be playing each other in their first matches on August 1 in Phoenix.
