David De Gea is eager to move back to Spain

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda’s daily transfer news and rumours roundup for 28th April 2017. European clubs are all looking at adding star names and today’s roundup contains updates on David De Gea’s situation at Manchester United, Pep Guardiola’s plans, Alvaro Morata’s favoured club and more. Let’s take a look at the biggest news from Europe today.

David De Gea wants Real Madrid move; United set to respond

Real Madrid have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Manchester United’s David De Gea. The player reportedly told the club that he wants to leave for Madrid three weeks ago and has asked the club to negotiate the sale according to Marca.

De Gea’s buyout clause of €60 million expired last June so both clubs are yet to decide on a price. There is talk of Real spending €70 million on the Spaniard, which will make him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. Los Blancos are keen to wrap up a deal for the Spanish goalkeeper and avoid the kind of last-minute mix-up which occurred in 2015.

Meanwhile, United have lined up Joe Hart as a replacement for De Gea and have shown interest in James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid with a verbal agreement with the Columbian said to be in place.

City are set for a massive overhaul at the Etihad in the summer. Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal, Benjamin Mendy of Monaco, Kyle Walker of Tottenham, Ryan Bertrand and Virgil Van Dijk of Southampton and Anderlecht’s 16-year-old teenage sensation Youri Tielemans are all on Pep Guardiola’s radar.

Guardiola has a transfer kitty of £250 million to work with according to Sky Sports. Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta are all out of contract this summer and Guardiola is not happy with his current squad and is looking at a number of replacements ahead of next season.

Bernardo Silva has been grabbing headlines with his performances for Monaco

Monaco schemer Bernardo Silva is in high demand in Europe after Monaco’s run to the Champions League semi-finals and Barcelona are said to be moving quickly to sign him according to Diario Gol. The report suggests that Barcelona are worried about Real Madrid’s relationship with Jorge Mendes, who is the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo and Silva, giving Los Blancos an advantage in signing the Portuguese playmaker and have acted quickly to open talks with Silva and his agent.
