Schweinsteiger could be heading to Brazil

Out of favour Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger could become a marquee signing for the famous Brazilian side Santos. Former German skipper has been left out of the squad by Jose Mourinho for most of the season before we saw Basti on the bench in a 1-1 draw vs West Ham. MLS side Chicago Fire are also in line to sign the 32-year-old midfielder.

Schweinsteiger is tipped to quit Old Trafford at all costs in January with MLS being touted as the more favourable destination. However, we could see a change in scenario, if Basti manages to pull off a commanding display against Manchester City in the EFL Cup quarter-final clash later this week.

Coutinho’s injury could mean Sturridge still has a place at Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a move away from Liverpool for several weeks with Southampton and West Ham tipped as the probable destination for the English striker. However, with the recent injury concerns surrounding Philippe Coutinho, ESPN FC claims that Sturridge could stay on at Anfield beyond the January transfer window.

Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino will be Liverpool’s only attacking options in January as Sadio Mane is also tipped to leave Liverpool for the entire month due to international commitments with the African Cup of Nations. We may either see Liverpool keep hold of Sturridge or sign a new attacker to boost their title hopes.

Batshuayi has struggled to break in to the first team

West Ham could turn to Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi as the potential striker signing in January as Slaven Bilic prepares to save his career with the Hammers, according to reports from Daily Star. Bilic had earlier claimed that West Ham could bring in a new manager if results do not change for good in the near future. West Ham have struggled to score goals in recent matches and have lined up a January move for every available striker.

Batshuayi has struggled to find regular playing time since his move from Ligue 1 last summer and Antonio Conte could consider sending the Belgian international to a rival Premier League side to get accustomed to playing in England.
