It may only be October but clubs all around Europe have started to put forward their plans to complete groundbreaking transfers in January and the summer transfer window next year.
Manchester United to miss out on Real Madrid duo?
Jose Mourinho is set to miss out on the Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are set to sign new contracts with the Spanish giants. Spanish journal Mundo Deportivo have confirmed that Florentino Perez wants his superstar duo to agree new deals before the end of current season.
Los Blancos are facing a 12-month transfer ban for illegal signing of under-age players, which has made keeping Ronaldo and Bale at the club their biggest priority.
Contact made with Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, says agent
Matteo Darmian’s agent has fueled speculation that the Italian international will be forced to quit Old Trafford in January if he does not get enough playing time under Jose Mourinho.
Speaking with Football Italia, Darmian’s agent Fausto Pari said, “He’s playing little or nothing and it’s a shame because he’s an Italy international. If the situation doesn’t change by January, we’ll have to think of something.”
Manchester City ready to extend Fernandinho’s contract
According to reports from Daily Star, Manchester City star Fernandinho is set to sign a new 2-year contract to put an end to the speculation of him leaving in the summer.
Pep Guardiola has identified Fernandinho as a key part of his team, who is capable of playing in the midfield and as a makeshift central defender, if need be. Pep has asked City’s hierarchy to offer the Brazilian a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2019.
Barcelona want to sign Man United’s key summer target
Barcelona have confirmed their interest in Sporting winger Gelson Martins, who is also linked with a move to Manchester United. According to reports from O Jogo, Martins will attract bids from both Barcelona and Man United next summer with Sporting Lisbon ready to accept an offer in the region of €30million.
Barcelona’s interest in Martins was confirmed by their director of sports Ariedo Braida, who said, “The only thing I can say is that we are watching Gelson. He’s a young player with a lot of talent who Barcelona are observing and will continue to observe.”
Ballack urges Chelsea to sign this defensive warrior
Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has urged the club to sign Leonardo Bonucci at any cost next summer. The Blues missed out on Bonucci earlier this season after being priced out of a deal to sign the Juventus man.
However, Ballack believes that Bonucci is the ideal man to be the long-term replacement for John Terry, who will hang up his boots in next 12-18 months.
Speaking with The Telegraph, Ballack said, "If it is possible to sign such a great player with good experience, it would be brilliant for Chelsea."
Olivier Giroud’s replacement found?
Arsenal are interested in signing Andre Silva from FC Porto in a deal worth £52million. According to reports from Metro, Arsene Wenger is now ready to cut ties with Giroud and wants a young striker to lead his attack next season.
The Gunners have scouted Silva the last 3-4 weeks and see him as the ideal striker to play alongside the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
