What’s the story?

Chelsea ace Eden Hazard, in a post game interview, has revealed what Maurizio Sarri told his team players in the half time break to inspire their rout in the second of the UEFA Europa League.

In case you didn’t know...

Hazard probably played his last game for the men in Blue as he looks set to join Real Madrid in the upcoming days. He inspired his side to a Europa League victory as he scored a brace and meanwhile set up a goal in Chelsea's 4-1 win against Arsenal in Baku.

The heart of the matter

After a lackluster first half, both teams needed to step up their game and it was Chelsea who turned up in some scintillating fashion. The west Londoners opened their account with Giroud putting them ahead with a brilliant header early on in the second half. With Arsenal just recovering from their first setback, Hazard beautifully set up Pedro for the Blues' second before scoring a brace to put the game to bed.

And in a post match interview the Belgian ace has revealed what the former Napoli manager said at the half time break to inspire and motivate the Chelsea players as they ran riot in Baku in the second half.

"[He told us] just to keep playing, to play our football, like what we did in the second half."
"We know we are good players when we fight and play together. Today we showed that, for the fans, the manager and the staff. We're just happy to lift this trophy."

Hazard also revealed that the first goal was very decisive since it was helpful in breaking the deadlock and eased the pressure on Sarri's men.

"The first half both teams had stress because of the final. But when we score I think it was the beginning of a great night. We played a good second half and we had chances at the end."

What's next?

It was the perfect sendoff game for the Belgian as he leaves the club after delivering a trophy. Eden Hazard may be hoping for a glittering career in the Spanish capital as he is set to be announced in the coming days.
