Manchester City’s long-term target Eliaquim Mangala reportedly wants a move to Chelsea over the Citizens.
Mangala, a France international, was subject to a bid from Manchester City during the January transfer window, but is reportedly not interested in a move to the Etihad stadium due to competition at the back. A move to rivals Chelsea could prove a remarkable turnaround, considering how close Mangala came to moving to the Citizens.
Mangala would cost in the region of £30-35 million, according to ESPN, but Chelsea may have the funds with Hazard being linked with a big-money move to PSG.
Managala may not have a problem fitting into the squad, with the defender admitting that he prefers London.
Mangala told reporters: “I have told my agent that I don’t want to know anything about the transfer window until the end of the World Cup.
“There have been discussions with Manchester City, but the clubs did not reach an agreement
“City or Chelsea? Chelsea, because it is London.
