<p>

#17 West Ham United

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

David Moyes has made it clear in the areas his club need to strengthen in January. “We’ve got lots of forwards, but we’re really short of midfield players,” he said, after the 3-3 draw against Bournemouth.

Moyes would try to add a strong midfielder in the mould of William Carvalho or Steven N’Zonzi to the team. His Center backs are also old and would like to address the issue when the window is open

Needed- William Carvalho or Steven N’Zonzi, Center Back.

#16 Crystal Palace

The first task in Roy Hodgson’s list will be to sort out Yohan Cabaye's contract which expires this summer. With no Back up to Benteke Roy will look out for a backup striker, Ings and Sturridge who are possible loan candidates.

A fullback should also be on Roy's shopping list if both Manchester United and Palace decides to end Timothy Fosu-Mensah's loan.

Needed - Extend Cabay's Contract and a Striker

#15 Newcastle United

Mike Ashley has promised funds for January transfers despite rumours of an ownership change. Rafa Benitez has four strikers on his list but with Aleksandar Mitrovic, Joselu and Dwight Gayle underperforming, Benitez would like to offload one or two strikers and add a new striker to the team.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is likely candidate to leave. Cenk Tosun was Rafa's top target who is likely to join Everton. Benitez will now shift his focus to Danny Ings who is not on Everton's shopping list. Rafa Benitez will also need a new goalkeeper as he tries to push away from the drop zone

Needed - Striker, goal Keeper.

#14 Southampton

Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

The Virgil van Dijk saga has finally ended, which brings in some relief to St Mary's stadium and more importantly injected enough cash to Manuel Pellegrino’s transfer kitty.

Saints will not be in a hurry to reinvest the £75 million they received for Van Dijk but will be cautious in transfers as they will be forced to overpay. Manuel Pellegrino has spent a combined sum of £20m for Wesley Hoedt and Jan Bednarek in the summer, so he will not be in a hurry to replace Van Dijk and will wait till summer.

Manuel Pellegrino will prioritize on adding a fresh face in the final third and Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge are possible candidates.

Needed - Center Back and a Striker.
