#3 Pick players who 'rotate' well

Look at the fixtures over the next 10 game-weeks and buy cheap pairs, who when viewed together, have a run of good fixtures. This is called player 'rotation'. For example, here are Bournemouth and Watford's fixtures until game-week 23:
