Fantasy Premier League 2017/18: Top 5 cheap picks for Gameweek 11

Burnley v Newcastle United - Premier League
Brady is one of Burnley's best attacking outlets

While the marquee players are scoring the most points and should find a place in your team, it really is your budget options that sets you apart from the crowd. With the second gameweek of the second quarter around the corner, now is the time to get your Fantasy Premier League back on track, with these 5 cheap must-have picks for Gameweek 11:

#5. Robbie Brady (Midfielder- Burnley)

Price: 5.5

Upcoming Fixtures: Southampton, Swansea City, Arsenal.

With Burnley being in the form of their life, sitting pretty in seventh place after having racked up points against the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool, it is about time one of the more accurate left-foots of the Premier League finds a place in your FPL team.

While Robbie Brady has only been able to provide two assists thus far, there is no doubt that his left foot strikes are one of the most dangerous threats that the Burnley offence has to offer.

A reason for his lack of contribution thus far can be the difficult fixtures that Burnley have had to deal with since the start of the season, having faced four members of the "Big-Six", but despite these tough fixtures, Sean Dyche's men have made an excellent start to the season.

With the likes of Swansea and Southampton coming up, you can only expect their form to go up, and if it does, so will the points for Brady. In fact, seven of Burnley's next ten fixtures are against opposition with an FDR rating of 3 or lower, so Brady can also be seen as a good long-term option for your bench.

Despite having provided just two assists so far, Brady has made 19 key passes in his team's attack, more than any other Burnley player. Brady has also completed 185 passes this season out of which a whopping 89% were attacking in nature, so it cannot be denied that Brady has been an immense presence in Burnley's attack.

#4. Fernandinho (Midfielder- Manchester City)

West Bromwich Albion v Manchester City - Premier League
Fernandinho has been solid for City at defensive mid

Price: 5.1

Upcoming Fixtures: Arsenal, Leicester City, Huddersfield Town.

While defensive midfielders are generally a bad idea on FPL, Manchester City's Fernandinho is an exception. For an unbelievable price of just 5.1, you get yourself a valuable member of what is possibly the best team in England right now.

Even though the Brazilian is a defensive midfielder by trade, he is actively involved in several goals that Manchester City have scored throughout the season, scoring and assisting two, while also keeping six clean sheets.

The upcoming fixtures may look tricky as the league leaders face in-form Arsenal and Leicester, but considering the form City have been in so far, they should be fairly straightforward.

While his name might not be as glamorous as his other teammates, Fernandinho is an excellent budget option to partner your more expensive midfield maestros as he is almost guaranteed to start every game and gets you a constant flurry of points.

#3. Phill Jones (Defender- Manchester United)

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League
Jones in action against Tottenham

Price: 5.3

Upcoming Fixtures: Chelsea, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion.

While the English centre-back may seem an interesting choice, considering he plays last season's champions in GW11, in my opinion, he is an absolutely rock solid choice for your defence.

Similar to Chris Smalling, who featured in the GW9 list, Jones is an invaluable part of the best defence in the Premier League. He is a part of the defensive line that was responsible for holding the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham at bay, and you can expect the same against Chelsea considering that Jose Mourinho is at the helm.

With him facing the likes of Newcastle and Brighton, after the Chelsea game which has stalemate written all over it, a clean sheet is the least you can expect from one of the best defenders in the league.

Injuries may be a constant threat against him in the long run, but so far Jones has avoided major ones this season.

#2. Chris Löwe (Defender- Huddersfield Town)

Huddersfield Town v Leicester City - Premier League
Lowe in action against Huddersfield

Price: 4.5

Upcoming Fixtures: West Bromwich Albion, AFC Bournemouth, Manchester City.

The cheapest option on the list, Chris Löwe is a great short-term option that can get you a fair amount of clean sheet points considering his opposition in the next two game-weeks.

The Huddersfield fullback faces West Brom and Bournemouth-- two teams that have struggled to score goals and points this season. Even though West Brom were able to bag two against the league leaders last weekend, it is very unlikely that Wagner's side will concede against a defensive Tony Pulis team.

Even though Löwe is a fullback, he has not contributed anything at all to the Huddersfield attack, and if his heat-maps are looked at, it is clear why this is the case.

Löwe may not be your blockbuster FPL defender, but what he is, is an absolute value for money option. If Huddersfield manage to recreate their form at the start of the season against some rather weak opposition in the next two gameweeks, Löwe's FPL owners will surely benefit considering he scored 6 points in each of his first six fixtures.

#1. Serge Aurier (Defender- Tottenham Hotspurs)

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool - Premier League
Serge Aurier celebrating with goalscorer Harry Kane in the match against Liverpool

Price: 5.9

Upcoming Fixtures: Crystal Palace, Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion.

The former PSG man took his time to settle into the Premier League, but now that he has done so, he has become an integral part of Pochettino's starting XI.

Even though the Ivorian didn't feature much before Spurs's last two Premier League games and has been only able to score just 2 points thus far, the upcoming fixtures look very promising for the now settled right wing-back.

The North London club go up against a somewhat improved Crystal Palace, who are still bottom of the table and a West Brom side that has been struggling to defend. They also have the North London Derby sandwiched in between. The Palace and West Brom fixtures are pretty much straightforward for the flying Spurs side and the Arsenal game may look tricky, but Tottenham's recent revival under Pochettino will surely fire them up to succeed against an Arsenal side that has made them feel inferior throughout the last decade.

While we may not have any impressive stats for Aurier in a Spurs shirt so far, there is no doubt in his ability as a player, and the way that Spurs set up, Aurier will not only bring you the clean sheet points but also several attacking ones.
