With Liverpool travelling to a defensively resolute Crystal Palace side, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a decent captain shout as the Gunners look to bounce back after their defeat against Leicester City in gameweek 12.

The Gabonese has scored four goals in six matches at the Emirates this season, only Teemu Pukki, Marcus Rashford, Sergio Aguero (all five) and Jamie Vardy (six) have scored more amongst forwards on home turf.

He is also ranked seventh for ‘big chances’ with five and fifth for SoT with eight. Arsenal have scored 11 goals in their six home matches this season, only Leicester (14), Liverpool (17) and Manchester City (19) have managed more.

They are also ranked third for SoT in home matches with 35, only Man. City (42) and Liverpool (47) faring better. No team has conceded more goals than their opponents Southampton (29) this season and only Newcastle (125), Norwich (138) and Villa (151) have allowed opponents more shots in the box (SiB) than their 124.

Mohamed Salah is believed to have suffered a reoccurrence of the ankle injury that saw him miss the fixture against Manchester United earlier this season, with Sky Sports reporting that he is ruled out of the weekend’s fixture against Palace.

He has already lost £0.2m in value from his starting price of £12.5m and could suffer another if Klopp confirms his unavailability in his press conference. With the games coming thick and fast in the Winter period, it is unlikely that Salah features in all nine games over 40 days while carrying a niggling injury and a move to Mane makes sense given the Senegalese’s form.
