Players to gamble on

Newcastle United v Chelsea FC - Premier League
Kante seems to be thriving in his new role under Sarri

N'Golo Kante (Chelsea)

It is pretty obvious that he is now playing in a more advanced position compared to last season, and has been much improved in that respect as well.

He is also cheap enough (5.0 million) that you don't have to not rue the move if it goes bad. He can always make for a reliable bench player with 2-3 guaranteed points every match.

Aaron Ramsay (Arsenal)

If you have had a history with Walcott in the past, and have been burned by him far too often to bring him in, go for Ramsay. He is cheap enough (7.4 million) to replace Richarlison if you are considering a transfer. Arsenal finally seem to be on track in terms of attacking, and he had a lot of good chances against West Ham.

Demarai Gray (Leicester City)

He was predicted to be more involved after Mahrez's exit, and it has been correct so far. After a great game against United, he finally finally scored against Southampton. With no Vardy, he will probably play a more advanced role.

At 5.5 million, he also doesn't burn a hole in your pocket.

What to do with the wild card

If you have to make more than four transfers before you get the team you are satisfied with, pull the trigger. If not, spread it over two weeks with a -4 each. It's only been three weeks. Give your players some time. Marathon, not a sprint, remember?
