Fernandinho to move to Manchester in January
Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho has revealed that he is going to sign for either Manchester City or Manchester United next month.
“I am closing a deal with an English club. I will play in Manchester in January,” he told Calciomercato.
Fernandinho scored for Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk in their 2-1 win over Chelsea in the UCL group stage match and was reportedly on the lookout by many leading clubs. Now, he has confirmed that he will be playing for the Manchester, but he has not revealed the identity of the exact club.
The Red Devils looks to be in need of a strong midfielder, especially with its defence looking a little weak.
On the other hand, Manchester City sold Nigel de Jong a few months back, and it does not seem like they will go for a similar player yet again.
Fernandinho has been the star for Shakhtar as the club have won five Ukrainian League titles in the seven seasons he has played for them. The side is also into the last 16 of the Champions League and might face Manchester United in that round.
