EA Sports' FIFA 19 will hit the stores on 28 September 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PS4, and the game promises to bring a host of changes to its design and gameplay; the influx of the UEFA Champions League is the most exciting feature to look forward to.

FIFA 19's demo will be launched on 13 September 2018, and as a part of the build-up to the game's release, the company behind the franchise announces the top 100 players on the game. However, the list always has its fair share of controversy, with players being rated higher or lower than their true potential along with a few surprise inclusions and omissions.

In this article, let us shed some light on the five players who should have been ranked higher on EA Sports' FIFA 19 top-100 list and deserve a spot in the top 10.

#5 Robert Lewandowski | ST | Bayern Munich | Poland

Japan v Poland: Group H - 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

Robert Lewandowski just misses out on the top-10 and is ranked 11th on the list. The 30-year-old Polish striker received a downgrade of one point in FIFA 19, taking his overall to 90. Lewandowski established himself as one of the most dangerous strikers in the German Bundesliga through the years and the last season was no different. The Pole netted 29 goals last year for Bayern Munich, which helped the club to lift yet another league title.

The 89-rated shooting attribute is Lewandowski's highlight in FIFA 19, which allows him to send the ball into the back of the net from virtually any angle.

#4 Jan Oblak | GK | Atletico Madrid | Slovenia

Olympique de Marseille v Club Atletico de Madrid - UEFA Europa League Final

Jan Oblak had a fantastic 2017/18 season with Atletico Madrid that saw him concede only 22 goals in 37 league games, which was the lowest goals-to-game ratio that season. The 25-year-old Slovenian footballer's multiple top-draw performances last season saw him receive an upgrade to his rating in FIFA 19. However, that was not enough for him to secure a place in the top-10 list.

Widely regarded as LaLiga's best goalkeeper last season, Oblak deserved an equal rating of David de Gea and be placed amongst the ten best players of FIFA 19.

#3 Harry Kane | ST | Tottenham Hotspur | England

England v Spain - UEFA Nations League A

Harry Kane has continued his excellent form in the Premier League during the 2017/18 season that saw him finish the year with 30 goals, only 2 goals behind the league's top scorer Mohamed Salah. The 25-year-old Englishman has been at the forefront of Spurs' attack all season, who not only scored goals but also set them up, cementing himself as one of the best centre-forwards of the league.

Harry Kane feature's on the 17th spot; however, with consistent top draw performances, the English striker deserves a place in the top-10. On the bight side, Kane features 90 rating for his shooting attribute, making him a deadly player while inside the box.

N'Golo Kante is one the bright spots of Chelsea's lacklustre 2017/18 campaign. His performances helped the Blues to offset some of the disappointing displays by Bakayoko. The 27-year-old centre defending midfielder dominates the midfield area with his excellent defending skills and has established himself as one of the best holding midfielders of the modern game.

The Frenchman boasts 80+ stats for physical, defending and pace, allowing him to cover large areas of the pitch within short durations of time to quickly cut out those dangerous counterattacks. His high attack work rate is an added bonus.

#1 Mohamed Salah | RW | Liverpool | Egypt

Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion - Premier League

Mohamed Salah's top-draw performances for Liverpool during the 2017/18 Premier League season caught everyone's imagination. The 26-year-old Egyptian was exceptional in front of goal last season, scoring 44 goals and setting up 16 other to his teammates, which ensured that the Merseyside club would finish the league in the fourth place and reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Mohamed Salah boasts 88 overall in FIFA 19; however, considering that a few players have been rated higher in this game, the prolific Egyptian deserved a higher rating to nudge him into the top-10 list. Nevertheless, Salah boasts exceptional stats for pace and dribbling, making him very dangerous on the wide areas of the pitch.
