#3 Ollie Watkins (AVL)(FWD)(£6.0 m)

Aston Villa's club-record signing Ollie Watkins could prove to be a great budget FPL forward this season. Despite creating a lot of chances and having a creative midfield, Villa lacked a quality striker as both Wesley and Mbwana Samatta struggled. Watkins, who was the joint-highest goalscorer in the Championship last season could offer a solution to that problem.

The new signing made his impact and scored in a pre-season friendly win over Manchester United. With the likes of Jack Grealish (MID)(£7.0 m) in the side, Watkins should get a lot of goal-scoring opportunities this season. If he continues with his clinical finishing in the Premier League, he will be someone who FPL bosses will want in their team.

#2 Chris Wood (BUR)(FWD)(£6.5 m)

Chris Wood had a great 19/20 PL season.
Chris Wood had a great 19/20 PL season.

Due to Burnley's Gameweek 1 blank, striker Chris Wood was ignored by most FPL managers. The New Zealand international is, however, set to have another great season in front of goal for Burnley. Wood finished last season with 14 goals and one assist and had an xG stat of 17.23, which was greater than that of Harry Kane.

He's very dominating in the air and is a huge threat from set-pieces while also being a very effective finisher. Burnley hasn't exactly been known for their attacking FPL options but Wood could change that notion this season. While strike partner Jay Rodriguez (FWD)(£6.0 m) is another option to consider, Wood's high points potential makes him a great FPL budget forward.

#1 Callum Wilson (NEW)(FWD)(£6.5 m)

Newcastle's new signing Callum Wilson made an impactful debut and scored their opener against West Ham. The forward has since found his way into more than 13% of FPL teams and is undoubtedly a great FPL option. Wilson was Bournemouth's best attacker last season and he could combine very well with ex-Cherries teammate Ryan Fraser (MID)(£6.0 m).

While the fact that he's a great goal-poacher is evident, Wilson is also very likely to get assists. He was the most creative forward in the first Gameweek and has provided 18 assists in the last two seasons of the Premier League.

With a great potential for points and at just £6.5 m, Wilson is one of the best budget FPL options this season.
