Arsenal Player Ratings

Arsenal managed an excellent performance
Arsenal managed an excellent performance

Bernd Leno - 6.5/10

Bernd Leno had one of his most comfortable games in an Arsenal shirt and had only one regulation save to make from Aleksandar Mitrovic in the second half. The German shot-stopper was typically comfortable on the ball and could not have asked for a better start to his Premier League season.

Rob Holding - 6.5/10

Rob Holding was given a chance in Arsenal's defence today and did a tidy job in his own half. The defender did have a few tense moments against Aleksandar Mitrovic in the second half but managed to hold his ground and help Arsenal to a clean sheet.

Gabriel Magalhaes - 8/10

Gabriel Magalhaes had the Arsenal debut of his dreams against Fulham. After a shaky start to the game, Mikel Arteta's new signing gave an assured account of himself and scored his first Arsenal goal with an excellent header in the second half.

Kieran Tierney - 7/10

Kieran Tierney was comfortable in Arsenal's defence today and seems to have adapted to his role as the third centre-back. Tierney did manage to make a few forward forays and is likely to remain a fixture in Arsenal's line-ups this season.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles - 6.5/10

Ainsley Maitland-Niles started ahead of Bukayo Saka against Fulham and did not have the best of games on the left flank. The English full-back did have his moments in the final third but needs to work on his final product to keep Mikel Arteta's trust.

Hector Bellerin - 7/10

Hector Bellerin had a positive outing against Fulham and offered plenty of width on Arsenal's right flank. The Spaniard spent a majority of the game in Fulham's half and was calm and composed on the ball.

Mohamed Elneny was impressive for Arsenal

Mohamed Elneny - 7.5/10

Granit Xhaka - 7/10

Granit Xhaka enjoyed himself in Arsenal's midfield and dictated his team's play in the middle of the pitch. The Swiss international had a hand in Arsenal's first goal and made several crucial interceptions throughout the game.

Willian - 8/10

Willian enjoyed an excellent Arsenal debut and played an important part in Arsenal's first goal. The Brazilian winger nearly scored from an excellent free-kick in the first half and bagged two well-deserved assists for Arsenal's goals in the second half.

Alexandre Lacazette - 7.5/10

Alexandre Lacazette continued his excellent run against Fulham and scored Arsenal's first goal of the 2020-21 campaign after latching on to a loose ball in the Cottagers' penalty area. The Frenchman was an imposing presence in Arsenal's offensive line and had a positive outing.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 8/10

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang simply cannot stop scoring for Arsenal. The Gabonese striker used his electric pace to torment the Fulham back-line throughout the game and got his reward in the second half as he slipped past Denis Odoi and scored a wonderful curler to open his account in the new Premier League season.

Nicolas Pepe - 6.5/10

Nicolas Pepe replaced Willian in the second half and managed a few excellent dribbles against an exhausted Joe Bryan. The French winger drove an excellent cross into the box towards the end of the game and impressed with his cameo appearance.

Edward Nketiah - 6/10

Eddie Nketiah came on for Lacazette late in the game and was not on the pitch long enough to make a mark.
