Gareth Barry, on loan at Everton, created history when he became the tenth player to make his 500th appearance in the Premier League. What sets him apart from the other nine is that he is the youngest player to reach the landmark, aged only 32.
Barry made his EPL debut in the 1997/98 season when he played for Aston Villa, having been brought into the team from the academy. He has also played for England 53 times.
