Shakhtar Donetsk Player Ratings:

Andriy Pyatov - 4/10

In the first half, when his side were looking rather comfortable in possession and Inter were not creating too many chances, Pyatov's mistake opened the game up. He played a stray pass that Barella seized upon and set up Martinez's goal. The veteran goalkeeper was hardly at fault for the other Inter Milan goals, though.

Dodo - 5/10

He had a tidy link with Marlos on the right flank for the Ukrainian champions, but like most of his teammates, he didn't have a cutting edge. He did get into some excellent crossing positions, only to find no Shakhtar attackers in the box.

Serhiy Kryvtsov - 4/10

He didn't really deal well with Martinez throughout the game. The Argentine's clever footwork and movement left the centre-back a bit short of answers.

Davit Khocholava - 5/10

Lukaku was mostly camped on his side, and the Georgian dealt with the threat well for the most part on his return to the side after being suspended for the quarter-final. However, when Lukaku hit his stride late in the game, Khocholava was caught like a deer in the headlights.

Mykola Matviyenko - 4/10

With Shakhtar Donetsk still in the game at 1-0, it was imperative that they didn't concede cheap goals. Instead, Matviyenko didn't even jump while trying to defend a corner, and D'Ambrosio made him pay.

Taras Stepanenko - 5/10

Stepanenko was very effective in helping Shakhtar Donetsk keep possession, but he could've played at a much higher tempo. Even though he helped his team be tidy on the ball, the lack of pace of their movement meant that Inter Milan were pretty comfortable all game.

Marcos Antonio - 6/10

He was the most impressive player for Shakhtar Donetsk on the day, with his movement in tight areas and ability to manipulate the ball standing out.

Marlos - 5/10

As always, he looked pleasing aesthetically, but there was way too much sideways and backwards movement from him and far too little forward impetus.

Alan Patrick - 3/10

Generally Shakhtar's chief creative option, he barely had an influence on the game. He was mostly stationed too deep, didn't really take risks and played well within himself.

Taison - 4/10

The experienced Brazilian winger couldn't really cause much trouble to the Inter Milan defence. Both D'Ambrosio and Godin were alive to his ability to cut in from the flank and cut out the option completely.

Junior Moraes - 4/10

The striker cut an isolated figure amidst the three Inter Milan centre-backs. Given how slow the Shakhtar buildup was, it was hardly surprising that the striker wasn't in the game. He had one chance, however, when he put his header straight at Handanovic.

Shakhtar Donetsk Substitutes:

Manor Solomon - 4/10

The Israeli international replaced Alan Patrick, but much like the Brazilian, couldn't impact the game in the final third.

Yevhen Konoplyanka - 1/10

One of his first acts after coming on to the pitch was to give the ball straight to Martinez who set up Lukaku for Inter Milan's fourth goal.
