Isco could follow Pellegrini to City

Malaga starlet Isco has hinted that he could follow manager, Manuel Pellegrini out of the club. who has been heavily tipped to take over at Manchester City before the start of the next season.

Isco, who was signed by Pellegrini from Valencia in 2011, said: “He’s been my footballing father and I know that he likes me. Of course I’d like to continue with him.”

The 21-year old had a fantastic season at La Rosaleda, scoring 9 goals. His performances prompted Spanish manager Vicente Del Bosque to call him up for the national team and was handed his first cap against Uruguay in February. Isco signed a new contract with Malaga in January and his new buy-out clause has been set at €35m.

But the Spaniard insists that playing regular football will be his priority when it comes to choosing where he wants to play next season.

“It’s a very important decision for me and I don’t want to get it wrong,” Isco said.

“I want to play, wherever it is, and that’s the most important thing. I don’t want to regret it after not getting many minutes.

“I’m not closing my door to anyone but my priority is to play and I don’t want to be on the bench. We’ll see what happens in the summer.”

Real Madrid and Paris St. Germain are also said to be interested in the youngster.
