What's the story?

Borussia Dortmund and England starlet Jadon Sancho has expressed his views on his 'close friend' Callum Hudson-Odoi's situation at Chelsea, as the young winger has been lately associated with a sensational switch to German giants Bayern Munich. The England international believes the Chelsea man is 'the next one' in world football.

In case you didn't know...

Hudson-Odoi has been subject to a transfer away from Stamford Bridge, with Bayern having approached the Blues not once but thrice; their latest bid being worth £35 million. Germany is turning into a place where young English stars, who quite can't break into their senior squads, thrive.

The above statement's best justification is Jadon Sancho, who has taken the Bundesliga by storm since his move from Manchester City - a decision that was then billed as risky by many.

The heart of the matter

The Dortmund winger has netted six and created seven more in the German top-flight so far and his move has encouraged many prodigies in England to experience first team football from a tender age.

Sancho opened up on Hudson-Odoi's scenario and heaped praise on the Chelsea man, saying:

"Me and Callum are close friends. We've played with each other at England. He's the next one I would say. He's very good, very talented, fast and good dribbling skills.
I have told him the Bundesliga is a nice league. I just told him to do whatever is best for him and whatever makes him feel comfortable."

Dortmund, who are leading the Bundesliga table by six points, are extremely focused, according to Sancho.

"We can achieve a lot with our squad. Our main goal is to win the league, that's everyone's goal in the team. We're just taking it game by game but hopefully we can achieve it," he added.

He's certainly got maturity way beyond his years.

What's next?

Not much can be said about the situation as Chelsea have been rather stubborn with Hudson-Odoi, who even started the Carabao Cup semi-final against Spurs. Meanwhile, Chelsea host Newcastle in the Premier League on 12 January.
