Jose Mourinho’s future has been subjected to a lot of speculation

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been offered a contract by Ibis Sport Club, a Brazilian-side based in Recife. The Portuguese tactician left Chelsea with ‘mutual’ consent earlier in December, after the defending champions underwent a torrid start to the season and were stuck just above the relegation zone.

Ibis Sport Club, which is known as the ‘worst team’ in the world for their three year and 11 months long win-less streak between 1980 and 1984, posted a tweet along with the hilarious contract which they offered to Mourinho. Although, the deal offered was to celebrate 'Dia de los inocentes’ or the Innocents day, which is the Latin American equivalent of the April Fool’s day.

The 52-year-old is currently in Brazil on a vacation and the club wasted no time in taking full advantage of the opportunity to play the prank. The tweet from Ibis’s official twitter handle goes like, “Firsthand, the contract of our future coach Jose Mourinho, who is already here in Pernambuco. #MourinhoAtIbis”

The contract offered is for a two year period and the former Real Madrid boss will get food hampers as salary every month. The offer includes various other amusing clauses as well, the former Real Madrid boss will be offered animals after a defeat and he will receive an appraisal in the salary if the team falls to an embarrassing loss. Another clause in the contract mentions that if the club wins the league, Mourinho’s contract will be terminated.

"At the moment this is what we can do for you, as you are without a club," the club stated in its offer.

"We will not give securities or assurance of continuity in our team, if the team has a sequence of two wins (at best)."

Mourinho is reportedly a target for Manchester United and Real Madrid

The former Porto boss has been linked with the managerial job at Manchester United as Louis Van Gaal’s position at the helm of the club has been in serious jeopardy recently due to the dismal run of form the team has had. The rumours have been so intense that scarves with Mourinho’s name were being sold outside Old Trafford during United’s clash with Chelsea. The rumour mill has even linked the Portuguese with a return to his former club, Real Madrid.
