Rabiot has reportedly said 'Yes' to a summer move to Camp Nou.

What's the story?

Adrien Rabiot has recently revealed via his interlocutors that he would be happy to play for Barcelona come next summer, according to reputed Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo.

Rabiot is one of the most in-demand midfield talents in Europe right now, after impressing with PSG over the last few seasons.

In case you didn't know...

Adrien Rabiot signed his first professional contract with Paris St-Germain back in 2012.

He broke into the first-team in 2013 and has since established himself as a regular starter for the club.

Rabiot has been on the radar of some of the biggest European clubs like - Barcelona, Liverpool and Juventus for a long time.

His contract with Les Parisiens expires next June and the player has reportedly rejected multiple contract offers from the club, who are desperately trying to hold on to their academy product.

The heart of the matter...

Rabiot's mother and agent Veronique, is known to be a tough negotiator and has made it clear that if her son is to stay in Paris he won't be listening to any offers less than €10 million a year.

Sport reported that Barcelona are preparing a €10 million-per-year contract offer for the Frenchmen, trying to snatch away PSG's prized possession next summer on a Bosman transfer.

As per Mundo Deportivo, the player and his representatives have both stated his desire to play for La Blaugrana, which they believe will be a great step forward for his career.

The report also claims that Veronique has had 'several contacts' with Eric Abidal and Pep Segura, both key Barcelona top brass members.

A visit by the duo to Paris to hold talks with the player and PSG is also on the cards, if the report is to be believed.

Rumour probability: 7/10

SPORT and Mundo Deportivo are very reliable sources and have the track record to prove that their exclusives are spot on. Moreover, Rabiot has been on Barcelona's radar for some time now.

What's next?

At just 23 years of age, Rabiot has all the qualities that will make him a success at the Camp Nou.

Right now the player is concentrating on his game and wants to win more titles under Thomas Tuchel, especially the elusive UEFA Champions League before he leaves the club.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is personally involved in the negotiations to keep the player at the club and is said to be strongly averse to the possibility of losing this exceptional home-grown talent next summer.
