The former Arsenal midfielder had quite an eventful Serie A debut. He made his first bow as a late substitute against Atletico Madrid in midweek, but against Hellas Verona, Maurizio Sarri handed the Welsh midfielder a starting berth.

Aaron Ramsey was in the thick of things throughout his time on the pitch, however, his most telling contribution was in the 31st minute. He received a pass from Cristiano Ronaldo and unleashed a shot from 25 yards which was deflected in for the equaliser.

With that strike, he became the first Welshman to score for Juventus since Ian Rush in the '80s. He was substituted in the second half to a warm ovation.

The Portuguese legend was the eye of the storm for Juve upfront, bobbing and weaving his way in and around the Verona box.

His link-up play with his teammates was lovely to watch, as he constantly set up Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado time and again. Ronaldo was crucially on hand to tee up Ramsey for the equaliser in the first half.

His most telling contribution came in the 49th minute, as he coolly dispatched a penalty beyond the reach of Marco Silvestri for the winner.

He also passionately hyped up his teammates and the Allianz Stadium crowd, as they gallantly fought back. Ronaldo had a game-high contribution of 10 shots out of a total of 21 Juventus attempts at goal.
