Jose Mourinho honoured by Madrid rumours

Jose Mourinho has been the hot-favourite to be the next Real Madrid manager for the last few weeks The manager, since his sacking at Manchester United, has been linked with a return to Bernabeu and also two other managerial positions – at Benfica and Boca Juniors.

However, nothing has materialized and not the Portuguese manager has broken his silence. Talking about the prospect of becoming the Madrid manager, Mourinho said, “They are things that are said and I will not feed.”

“When a coach or a player, he comes back, it means we did something positive. I felt it when I returned to Chelsea. When a professional returns or is invited to return to a club it is a tremendous honour. It’s not a gamble in the dark, the clubs are trying to hire a player or a coach they know, they’ve already been there, and if they invite you it’s because they know the value of the person.” added Mourinho.

Navas has no plans of leaving Real Madrid

Keylor Navas' future at Real Madrid has been in the balance for a long time now. The goalkeeper was first linked with a move away when the Spanish giants moved for De Gea. Now with Thibaut Courtois signed from Chelsea, he was linked with a move again but still, the Costa Rican shot-stopper has stayed put.

Now with reports that he is set to sign a new contract, Navas is bound to stay at Bernabeu for some more time. “When I do not believe I can be first-choice at the club, I will depart,” Navas said to AS.

“As a player all I can do is train hard, to perform well when I am given the chance to play and make the most of my opportunities. Players always have to be patient and wait for these situations to come up, and I don’t know the outcome (of Thibaut Courtois’ injury) but I need to show I can be there.”

“I am always available to play and I am always very keen to participate, that is never in doubt. I see myself remaining at the club for many years to come, I will always fight for my place and giving everything I have.” added the goalkeeper.
