<p>
Salah once again inspired his side to a comfortable victory against City

Liverpool

Ente
Chamberlain was exceptional tonight

Loris Karius - 6/10

Kauris looked like a bystander at the post as Liverpool ran riots on the other half of the pitch. The keeper didn't really have to do much throughout the game.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 8/10

The 19-year-old had an outstanding game who looked fearless when going up against Sane. Klopp would surely be impressed by his work rate.

The youngster should be proud of tonight's performance and was also a threat with his delivery into the box.

Virgil Van Dijk - 7.5/10

The former Southampton player kept Jesus quite and with Aguero injured, Van Dijk was hardly troubled. He was solid in the central defence and led his side's backline well.

Andrew Robertson - 7.5/10

Fearless and always pushing forward sums up the Scotland international night. A solid and a brave performance against City's frontline.

Jordan Henderson - 7/10

A late booking means the captain will miss the away leg next week. A diligent display from Henderson used the ball well and worked hard.

James Milner - 8/10

The England international was solid in the game, who had a hand in the first goal and then provided an excellent assist to Chamberlain for the second goal.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - 8/10

The screamer to double Liverpool's lead was just too much for Ederson. He was a threat when going forward with the ball.

His presence in the midfield helped his side stop threats when City attempted any.

Sadio Mane - 7.5/10

Mane was very good in the first-half. He took his goal very well after Salah's cross found him in the back post and Mane then headed the goal o put Liverpool 3-0 up by the 30th minute.

Roberto Firmino - 7.5/10

Firmino may not have got his name on the scoresheet but did well to push City's defence back and pressed the opposition.

Mohamed Salah - 7.5/10

The Egyptian was subbed off early on in the second half, probably as a protection. But that was long enough for him to make an impact. He scored his seventh Champions League goal and also assisted Mane for his goal.

Substitutes

Georginio Wijnaldum - 6/10

He came on for Salah in the 53rd minute and did well to maintain Liverpool's shape and worked hard.

Dominic Solanke - 5/10

Coming on in the 71st minute, Solanke didn't have much impact on the game but was full of running.

Alberto Moreno - N/A

Moreno came on in the last five minutes to see off the game.
