Incoming Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has told the club hierarchy to go after highly-rated Real Madrid right-back Daniel Carvajal. Carvajal, who is 24 has enjoyed a good season at Real Madrid this year and is rated very highly by Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane.

However, the Mirror reports that a bid of close to £45 million would be enough to open talks. Manchester City are not the only ones interested in the Spanish star and Pep Guardiola’s former club Bayern Munich are also said to be considering a move for the Real Madrid right-back.

A final decision on Carvajal’s future will be made based on how Real Madrid, who missed out on the La Liga title to Barcelona, finish their season against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final.

Pellegrini whom Guardiola is set to replace at Manchester City had a warning for the Spanish manager.

“I think it will get more competitive because the TV rights are increasing every season, so every team will have more money to spend on good players.”

“It's also very important to consider in the future that this season, we have played 16 games more than Leicester. Big teams involved in Europe have a double challenge to be successful.”

Pep Guardiola believes his Bayern Munich stint made him a better manager

Outgoing Bayern Munich chief coach Pep Guardiola has said that he hopes the years he has spent with the Bavarian football giants have made him "a better coach and a better person".

Guardiola, who next season will leave for Manchester City, on Friday at the presser prior to the last Bundesliga match against Hannover said he will look back on his time at Bayern "as a great experience", reports Efe.

"I am proud to have made the decision to come here. I am now a better coach and a better person," he added.

Guardiola admitted he had not been a "normal" coach during his time at Bayern and announced his intention to celebrate on Saturday the Bundesliga title, the third of his era and the fourth consecutive for Bayern.

He has guided Bayern to three consecutive Bundesliga titles. However, many Bayern fans believe the Spanish coach's tenure as a failure because of his failure to win the European Champions League title. Guardiola will be hoping Manchester City win against Swansea and manage to make it to the Champions League.
