Fernandinho has signed a 2-year extension at Manchester City. The Brazilian midfielder has done brilliantly this season, but the Premier League leaders are looking for someone to give him competition.

Yaya Toure's contract is coming to an end at the conclusion of the current season. According to ESPN, Manchester City want to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder, Fred in the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old has been impressive for the Ukranian team this season.

Fred admitted that he would be interested in working with Pep Guardiola. He said that City are a great team and have a great coach in Guardiola. The Brazilian midfielder said that he can grow a lot with the Premier League leaders.

"A great coach like Guardiola and a great team like City. For sure, I would grow a lot with them. I have a lot to grow."

According to the ESPN, Premier League leaders are set to award Kevin De Bruyne with a new contract which would keep him at the club till 2014. The playmaker is set to earn £260,000 per week under the new contract.
