Virgil Van Dijk was left out of Southampton matchday squad to face Tottenham yesterday. This news has fuelled his transfer rumours as he is looking set to make a move away from Saints in the January window.

The Southampton manager made it clear that there are no injury concerns and mentioned that transfer speculation is the reason behind Dutch defender's exclusion.

“With Virgil, there is a lot of speculation, but we have to wait and see until January and then we can talk,” Southampton manager Pellegrino said as quoted by the Independent.
