Manchester City transfer news: City ready to spend £133m for Isco, Madrid to sign Aguero on one condition and more- 27th December 2017
Virgil Van Dijk left out of Southampton squad again
Virgil Van Dijk was left out of Southampton matchday squad to face Tottenham yesterday. This news has fuelled his transfer rumours as he is looking set to make a move away from Saints in the January window.
The Southampton manager made it clear that there are no injury concerns and mentioned that transfer speculation is the reason behind Dutch defender's exclusion.
“With Virgil, there is a lot of speculation, but we have to wait and see until January and then we can talk,” Southampton manager Pellegrino said as quoted by the Independent.
Manchester City ready to spend £133 million for Isco
Real Madrid have an overload of riches in midfield. It is difficult for a new midfielder to break into the team. Isco was brilliant in the second half of the last season and he is considered as one of the best creative midfielders in the world.
The Spanish midfielder seems to be unsettled at Madrid as he was dropped in the Clasico at Bernabeau.
According to Don Balon, the creative midfielder might be looking to make a move away from Madrid to a club where he gets playing time. According to reports, Manchester City have shown an interest in signing the midfielder for a massive £133 million.
City identify replacement for Fernandinho
Fernandinho has been brilliant for Manchester City this season but age is not on his side and the Premier League leaders are already looking at options to replace the Brazilian when necessary. Fred replaced Fernandinho at Shakhtar Donetsk when he left for Manchester City.
According to ESPN, the 24-year-old has been identified as the midfielder to replace Fernandinho yet again. Fred has a contract till 2021 at the Ukranian club, and would surely command a huge transfer fee if City want to sign him.
City set a condition to sell Aguero
Sergio Aguero is the top-scorer of Manchester City but has currently fallen behind Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order. Jesus is more suited to the Pep style of play but still, Aguero is one of the best strikers in the world.
According to the Diario Gol, Real Madrid are interested in signing the Argentine forward to replace Karim Benzema. But City have set a condition to sell the forward, they want Navas to join City if they are to let go of Aguero.
