Mike Ashley has reinstate that Sean Longstaff is not for sale
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff despite being shocked by the Magpies' valuation of the player. Newcastle reportedly want £50m for the player who had just 12 appearances last season. United were hoping that they could get a deal done in less than £30m, but latest comments from Newcastle owner Mike Ashley might be a cause of concern.

The message we want to put out is that he is not for sale.
If you’ve got one like Sean – keep him.
These clauses are the highest you think the player will accept, so he can't batter your door down and demand to be sold for £10m.
I don't care what people say, it's very difficult to keep a player when they want to go. The age of slavery is dead. But we've learned our lesson on release clauses from here.
Does this effectively mean that United's hopes of securing the services of the youngster this summer is over?

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two.
