The summer transfer window is only a few weeks away but the rumour mill has been rife with big name associations to varied clubs. From Antoine Griezmann’s Atletico Madrid departure to Kylian Mbappe's Paris Saint-Germain exit suggestions, the summer promises to be one of titular moves.

There is a good amount of uncertainty surrounding players and managers in the football industry this summer, with former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho among some of the big names without a club.

The Portuguese manager was sacked by the Red Devils in December last year and has since been away from the touchline. He is expected to return to a managing role this summer and while he has been linked with a number of prospective clubs in recent weeks, Juventus have emerged as his newest fan.

According to recent reports, Cristiano Ronaldo wants Mourinho to take over the Old Lady following Massimiliano Allegri's departure.

Allegri recently stepped down from his managerial position amid discontentment with his tactics which was further fuelled by his European failure.

Amid the rumours, we take a look at how Mourinho could actually be a good fit for Juventus:

#1 Experience in the Serie A and the Champions League

Mourinho is no stranger to winning titles in the Italian top flight, having won an unprecedented treble - the Serie A, the Champions League, and the Coppa Italia - with Inter Milan in the 2009-10 campaign.

The achievement, which has only happened five times before in football, made the campaign one of the club's greatest ever.

Juventus made their priorities clear when they brought in game-changer Cristiano Ronado last summer. Having dominated Italy in the last decade, the Champions League is now their ultimate goal and Mourinho has just the track record to succeed.

#2 Ronaldo's desire to co-operate with his former boss

Mourinho and Ronaldo spent three years together at Los Blancos between 2010 and 2013 but their relationship was marred by conflict.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was not pleased with Mourinho's defensive approach in his last two seasons in charge and often paid the price for vocalising his discontentment. Despite efforts to repair the situation, the duo's relationship was at its breaking point months before Mourinho's departure.

However, reports have emerged that Ronaldo desires to play under his former boss once again and aims to put the past behind. If those reports are to be believed, it would be an ideal situation for both the parties. Both individuals have a similar mentality when it comes to winning and if Ronaldo is willing to succeed under Mourinho, Juventus could well be on their way to dominating Europe.

#3 Mourinho is a man looking for a comeback

Mourinho is a man who will go down in history as one of the best managers in modern football but his recent trial with Manchester United have put him in a position to revive his reputation.

The 56-year-old's stint at Manchester was the first time he did not deliver a league title since joining Porto in 2002. He was constantly involved in controversies with players and the board during his time at Old Trafford - something that affected his reputation negatively and he will be keen to fix things up.

Juventus, with the presence of proven winner Ronaldo, would be the perfect place for Mourinho to execute his mission. The club itself is hoping to redefine its position in Europe and who is better to help them than a two-time Champions League winner?
