Football pundit Jermaine Jenas has shared his take on Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola shouting at Phil Foden during their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea on Saturday, April 20.

The Cityzens took the lead late in the game through Bernardo Silva's 84th-minute strike and Guardiola was seen fuming at Foden minutes later. The Spanish manager passed on instructions from the touchline in an animated manner.

Foden tried to play a pass to Julian Alvarez. While the ball reached the Argentine striker, the weight of the pass was off, making it difficult for Alvarez to control it. Guardiola was furious and urged Foden to keep hold of the ball better with his side having taken the lead.

Jenas also pointed out the moment, saying on BBC One (via The Boot Room):

"Pep Guardiola is shouting at Phil Foden to keep the ball. Foden is absolutely getting it from his manager."

Jeremy Doku, a lively figure since replacing Jack Grealish, found Kevin De Bruyne in space, who played a cut-back into the area. While Djordje Petrovic got a foot to the ball, it fell straight into Bernardo Silva's path. The Portuguese midfielder's effort found the back of the net despite a touch from Marc Cucurella.

City, who are a point behind Arsenal in the Premier League with a game in hand, are in the hunt for the domestic double. They will play the winner of Manchester United and Coventry City in the FA Cup final.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola complains about fixture congestion

Days before the Wembley clash against Chelsea, Manchester City went 120 minutes against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg before losing on penalties.

Pep Guardiola claimed after the Chelsea game that the gruesome physical and mental toll of the fixtures is too much for the players to handle. He said (via The Boot Room):

"It is for the health of the players. It is not normal. Honestly, it is not normal. It is not possible. It is unacceptable to go 120 minutes. All of you are football players. The emotion too, Madrid, the way we lose."

City have a few days to rest before taking on Brighton & Hove Albion in an away league clash on Thursday, April 25.
