Real Madrid have signed Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer but remain in the market for more additions. Carlo Ancelotti's team were in superb form last season and are looking to continue their upward rise in the upcoming campaign.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos have set their sights on a Manchester City midfielder. Elsewhere, Rodrygo has no desire to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

On that note, let's look at the major Real Madrid transfer stories from August 10, 2024.

Real Madrid eyeing Rodri

Real Madrid are considering a move for Rodri in 2025, according to Caught Offside. The Spanish midfielder has been a key figure under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

He has played a leading role in the club's recent success and was also instrumental in La Roja's Euro 2024 triumph. Rodri is under contract with the Premier League champions until 2027, so they are relaxed about the situation.

However, things could change next year, should Pep Guardiola end his reign at the Etihad. Los Blancos are already without Toni Kroos this year and could part ways with Luka Modric next summer.

The La Liga giants are considering a move for Rodri in 2025 to address the situation. Dani Carvajal has already sent the rumor mills into overdrive by expressing a desire to see his countryman at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Rodri has the experience and the expertise to be a hit with Real Madrid, should he make the move. However, the situation will also depend on Carlo Ancelotti's future.

Rodrygo Goes has no desire to leave Real Madrid this summer, according to AS. The Brazilian is apparently wanted at the Etihad this year, with Pep Guardiola on the hunt for Julian Alvarez's replacement.

The Argentinean has moved to Atletico Madrid this summer to seek a new challenge and recent reports have suggested that Manchester City want Rodrygo to take his place. Guardiola believes the 23-year-old will be an ideal fit for his tactics and is reportedly gunning for a move.

However, the Brazilian has no desire to leave Los Blancos. Despite the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer, Rodrygo remains determined to prove his worth to the La Liga giants.

As such, he will not consider a move even if Guardiola tries to convince him with a personal call. Real Madrid have no desire to let the player leave either and sees him as a vital part of their plans.

Los Blancos not eyeing Aymeric Laporte

Real Madrid are not pursuing a move for Aymeric Laporte this summer, according to journalist Jose Felix Diaz. The La Liga giants are likely to consider defensive reinforcements after missing out on Leny Yoro this year.

The French defender was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu but ended up joining Manchester United. Carlo Ancelotti is set to start the new campaign with Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger as his senior centre-backs following Nacho Fernandez's exit.

David Alaba still has some time to regain full fitness and the situation could tempt Los Blancos to consider their options. They have been linked with a move for Laporte of late.

Recent reports have suggested that the Spaniard is willing to terminate his contract with Al Nassr to facilitate a Bosnian move this summer. It has also been claimed that Ancelotti has given his green signal to the move.

However, it now appears that Real Madrid have closed the door on the 30-year-old. The Italian manager is happy with his options and is not considering a move for Laporte.
