Manchester City has had a blistering start to their Premier League campaign under new manager Pep Guardiola obtaining full nine points from their first three games. Besides, they’ve also won their Champions League play-off tie against Steaua Bucharest and defender Pablo Zabaleta has hailed Guardiola, who he thinks is one of the best managers in the world, for bringing a world-class makeover.

Pablo Zabaleta believes that the players at the club feel really special to be working under a manager of this pedigree and that the club is also lucky to have him.

"I think for players when you have the opportunity to work with the best managers it's something really special," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

Manchester City last won the Premier League title in the 2013-14 season under then-new manager Manuel Pellegrini, however, have failed to emulate that feat owing to lack of consistency. Zabaleta believes that the appointment of Guardiola is a big step in ensuring the club moves on to bigger things. Besides consistency, the club will also be targeting an elusive Champions League crown which Guardiola has the experience of winning two times with Barcelona.

"The experience will be great and I'm sure that in the next three years the club will make a step forward. I am absolutely sure of this because Pep Guardiola is one of the greatest managers and we are so lucky to have him at Manchester City.”

Pep Guardiola is one of the most coveted managers on the globe but it is his first time in the Premier League which is considered as the toughest league. Zabaleta further added to the significance of the players helping him out settle sooner than on his own.

He added, "For him it's a new experience of the Premier League, a different league, and so I think the players will need to try and help him. Especially those of us who have been here a long time who know the Premier League very well. We need to work as a group and try to play well. His style of play is maybe a bit different to what we've done in the past. But that is normal every time you work under a new manager with their own ideas. You have to work hard."

On Saturday, Pep Guardiola and a revamped Manchester City will face their first test of the season as they travel to Old Trafford for the Manchester derby. Interestingly, Manchester United have also won all their games starting into the season.
