Premier League 2017/18: Arsenal 2-1 Swansea, Player Ratings

The
The two men who gave Arsenal their tenth consecutive home win

Swansea City

Sea
Swansea's goalscorer, Sam Clucas

Lukasz Fabianski - 6.5/10

The former Arsenal keeper appeared to be doing everything right in the first half but couldn't do enough for both the goals Arsenal scored.

Alfie Mawson - 7/10

Expertly kept Alexander Lacazette at bay with his presence and tackles. He's growing to become quite the player for the Swans, Paul Clement and an overwatching Gareth Southgate.

Federico Fernandez - 6.5/10

Should have got out faster to deny Arsenal the equaliser in the second half but was otherwise effective when needed. Lost all of his duels, though.

Mike Van der Hoorn - 7/10

The Dutchman was another good defender on the night who usually kept poking at Alexis Sanchez. Did well to keep the Chilean off his usual game.

Sam Clucas - 7/10

In for the injured Martin Ollson and what an impression he left. Took the goal superbly and deserved to do so. Was all over the pitch plenty of times and put in a good shift.

Kyle Naughton - 6.5/10

The former Tottenham man didn't have the best of games having to deal with tank-man Sead Kolasinac. Was overrun too easily and should've played a little deeper to have more of an impact.

Tom Carroll - 6.5/10

Another former Tottenham man who didn't quite get into the game today. His passing is usually way better than the 81.5% today and it seemed like Aaron Ramsey left him for dead at every given moment.

Leroy Fer - 6.5/10

Started the game brightly stealing the ball and feeding his forwards but his influence on the game faded as the clock ticked. Lost a majority of his battles and his first touch let him down too often.

Sung Yueng-Ki - 7/10

Back into the squad after recovering from his injury and did well by adding some of that much-needed steel in this Swansea side. Couldn't do anything to prevent his side from losing.

Tammy Abraham - 7/10

A constant threat down the middle, Tammy Abraham is getting better and better with each passing game. Had some fun with Per Mertesacker every now and then.

Jordan Ayew - 6.5/10

Apart from stealing the ball from the Arsenal captain and almost scoring, the Ghanian hardly had any influence on the game.

Substitutes

Luciano Narsingh- 6/10

Didn't have much of an impact coming on. His pace and dribbling do cause problems.

Nathan Dyer - 6/10

Also came on very late for him to have an effect on the game. 100% pass accuracy, though.

Oliver McBurnie - 6.5/10

Even though he played for five minutes, he had an impact winning his duels in the Arsenal penalty area and generally being a nuisance.
