Everyone is likely to know who N'Golo Kante is at this point, as he's gone from strength to strength in recent years and shows no sign of stopping.

After signing for Leicester in the summer of 2015 from SM Caen for around £8m, Kante became one of the best players in the squad within no time at all. Nobody had truly expected him to be as outstanding as he was, given that he never caught the eye of top European clubs whilst still playing out in France. Yet, with Leicester, he showcased a side to him that nobody had ever seen.

Kante was regarded by many as the best centre-defensive midfielder in the league for the 2015/16 campaign. He had stamina unlike anyone else and would just keep running until the final whistle, making it extremely difficult for the tiring opposition to control the game.

Leicester would miraculously win the Premier League in that season, thanks, in part, to Kante's superb performances throughout. But the fairytale with Leicester would end once that season had finished, and Chelsea signed him for £30m.

Eager to prove that he wasn't a fluke, Kante was quickly made Chelsea's main defensive midfielder and he would feature in virtually every single game. A clear indication of the success he's had at Stamford Bridge is reflected in his current market value, which stands at a staggering £90m.
