#3 N'Golo Kante (Chelsea)

Is there anything this man cannot do?
Is there anything this man cannot do?

If you still think N'Golo Kante is only about running all around the pitch and stopping counters and shielding the ball with his dimunitive yet impenetrable frame, buddy, I don't even want to know you.

After winning the World Cup with France in the summer, coming on the back of two EPL title wins and a Player of the season award, there was a question of whether Kante had peaked in his career. What more could the man do? The answer, as it turns out, is to score more goals.

While Jorginho was the player most expected to flourish under the guidance of new manager Sarri, it is truly Kante who has been completely transformed. No longer held back by his defensive chains, the Frenchman is now one of the most advanced players for the Blues when attacking, while also not losing an ounce of his defensive ability. Madness.

While only four goals and four assists don't look like much, for a player like Kante, that is four more than should be possible. Not to mention the goals have come against Manchester City and Tottenham in crucial games, when Chelsea were all but written out.

Perhaps the reason for the omission was Kante's impossibly high standards set earlier, or the fact that Fernandinho was already a shoo-in into the team.
