#1 Frank Lampard's squad rotation paid dividends for the Blues
After a gruelling Champions League tie midweek, where his side came from 3 goals behind to secure a sensational 4-4 draw, Frank Lampard opted to make a handful of changes to the starting XI to keep his players fresh. Although Jorginho's omission was unavoidable as the Italian midfielder was suspended, the likes of Emerson and Reece James were drafted into the starting XI and the pair of fullbacks impressed in a comfortable 2-0 victory.
Kante was his usual self in the centre of the park and the Frenchman complemented Mateo Kovacic brilliantly, as the Chelsea midfield exerted their influence on the game. James, making his first start in the Premier League, was lively throughout the game and showed glimpses of his outrageous ability on both ends of the pitch.
Even the most experienced managers struggle to rotate their squad and handle two competitions simultaneously, but Lampard did so impeccably as the Blues registered their sixth Premier League victory in a row.
