Just like the last season, this season also looks set to produce an exciting battle between the top 6 sides for the Premier League trophy. While Manchester City and Liverpool are once again looking like the top title contenders, counting Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal out of the title race may turn out to be a huge mistake.

#6 Frank Lampard, Chelsea

Reading v Chelsea - Pre-Season Friendly
Reading v Chelsea - Pre-Season Friendly

TROPHIES WON: 0

Career Highlight: A victory over his former manager Jose Mourinho's Manchester United in the Carabao Cup 2018-19.

A true Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard is arguably the club's most illustrious former player who has now returned to manage the club after Maurizio Sarri's exit.

Lampard is still relatively new to management, and a rookie as a Premier League manager. He only has a year's experience of managing Derby County in the Championship, where he narrowly failed to take Derby to the top flight.

Lampard now has his hands full with the challenge to succeed at Chelsea after being given the responsibility of managing the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

#5 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United

Manchester United v Cardiff City - Premier League
Manchester United v Cardiff City - Premier League

TROPHIES WON: 3

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Winning back-to-back Norwegian titles with Molde in 2011 and 2012.

Another club legend as a player, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an absolute fan-favorite in the red half of Manchester. And he has now been given the responsibility to rebuild at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer's CV as a manager is less than impressive for such a massive job; winning two league titles and a cup in his native Norway with Molde and relegation with Cardiff in the Premier League count for little at a club with the stature of Manchester United. However, he has the backing of United's board and Sir Alex Ferguson, which ticks a huge box in his favor.

Solskjaer must now bring all of his experience as a Manchester United player to bear if he wants to take the club back to its glory days.

#4 Unai Emery, Arsenal

Arsenal v Olympique Lyonnais - Emirates Cup
Arsenal v Olympique Lyonnais - Emirates Cup

TROPHIES WON: 10

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Winning UEFA Europa League titles three times successively with Sevilla in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

After the legendary Arsene Wenger hung up his boots, Arsenal appointed Unai Emery to manage the club. Having won six major trophies in his managerial career, Emery is a manager of the highest quality.

The Spaniard faces the biggest challenge of his career yet as Arsenal is a team in transition post the Wenger era. Emery has a tough task on his hands at the Emirates to make the Gunners competitive again in the Premier League.

Given his track record, he is more than capable of doing it.

#3 Mauricio Pochettino

Juventus v Tottenham Hotspur - 2019 International Champions Cup
Juventus v Tottenham Hotspur - 2019 International Champions Cup

TROPHIES WON: 0

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Guiding Spurs to the UEFA Champions League 2019 final.

Mauricio Pochettino has spent five years at Tottenham Hotspur so far, and he has successfully transformed the Spurs from perpetual underachievers to a strong outfit in the Premier League.

Under the guiding light of Pochettino, the Spurs are now Champions League regulars, and they also made their first appearance in the final last season. The Argentine has a knack of developing young players and getting everything out of them on the pitch.

Although Pochettino hasn't been able to deliver any trophy yet, there is no denying the fact that he is one of the master tacticians in modern football. However, he will be looking to amend his record with the Spurs by finally delivering the Premier League trophy this season.

#2 Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool

Liverpool v SSC Napoli - Pre-Season Friendly
Liverpool v SSC Napoli - Pre-Season Friendly

TROPHIES WON: 6

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy with Liverpool in 2019.

Jurgen Klopp did the unthinkable last season by guiding Liverpool to successive Champions League finals and finally clearing the final hurdle by lifting the coveted Champions League trophy as well.

Klopp silenced his critics in style last season, and showed the world why he is regarded as an elite coach. Since taking over the managerial seat at Liverpool, Klopp's high-intensity playing style has turned the Reds into one of the most exciting teams to watch on the planet.

He is a manager who is loved by players and supporters alike. Now the time has come for Klopp to finally bring the Premier League trophy back to Anfield.

#1 Pep Guardiola, Manchester City

Yokohama F.Marinos v Manchester City - Preseason Friendly
Yokohama F.Marinos v Manchester City - Preseason Friendly

TROPHIES WON: 27

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Completing the treble in the first season with Barcelona in 2009.

Pep Guardiola arguably is the best coach in the world at the moment. He has won domestic titles with every club he has managed so far. In addition to that, Guardiola also has two Champions League victories on his glittering CV, including a treble with Barcelona.

But Guardiola as a manager is much more than just the trophies. He brings a style of play which is not only pleasing to the eye but also one step ahead of the rest.

Guardiola is a complete manager, and he has been dominating the Premier League as well with the Manchester City. However, European glory has somehow been eluding him in recent years. Guardiola has failed to win the Champions League trophy with Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

This season, the Spaniard will be looking to prove his naysayers wrong by dominating Europe as well and bringing the Champions League to the blue side of Manchester.
