#5 Callum Hudson-Odoi advised to go

Chelsea midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi has been advised to leave the Blues and join the Bavarians by former West Ham star Leroy Roseoier. The youngster has been linked with a move to the German outfit as they are very interested in signing him.

And now, Rosenior has stated Chelsea signing Christian Pulisic, who is also young, should mean that Hudson-Odoi’s place in the starting XI could have more hurdles. He also stated that the stature of Bayern Munich also makes them a compelling club to join.

“They (Chelsea) have gone to sign Pulisic (who is) a similar age from Dortmund. So you’re Callum Hudson-Odoi, and you’re saying ‘what do I need to do to get that chance?’ he stated.

“It’s not like a small club that has come in for him, it’s one of the biggest clubs in Europe and the world. They must have faith in him and he’s been around for a good few years now and we have been aware of him from academy football.”

Rosenior then added that he is a big fan of English players going to foreign leagues and broadening their skill set by playing in a different culture. He then wished the youngster good luck and wanted him to choose based on which club would be best for his footballing growth.

“I have been an advocate for a long time of English players going to learn on other shores because it enhances our game in terms of learning a different culture and different way of playing”, he remarked.

“Good luck to him if he wants to go and play football in a decision based on those decisions, not finances, not status, but to go and want improve as a player as be the best he can be, then good luck to him.”

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been linked with a move to Monaco. However, it hasn’t been official yet as, according to journalist Rob Dorsett, the Blues want to sign a replacement before announcing the deal.

He also added that Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella is on the top of the Blues list of Fabregas replacement. Maurizio Sarri is apparently a huge fan of the midfielder but it won’t be easy to sign him as not only will he cost around £45 million but he is also in demand with Napoli leading the way for him.

“Chelsea want a replacement before they let that happen. Chelsea are looking at a number of replacements and Barella is a key man in the chain,” he said.

“Sarri's a big admirer of the player and he'd cost £45million but he has competition for him. Our colleagues at Sky in Italy are reporting that Sarri's former club Napoli have emerged as favourites."

Alvaro Morata has been linked with a move out of the Stamford Bridge with Maurizio Sarri pressing for a deal to bring Gonzalo Higuain at Chelsea. The Spaniard has been erratic ever since he joined the Blues and even the arrival of the Italian maestro hasn’t improved his luck.

As a result, the possibility of the Blues sanctioning the departure of the former Real Madrid striker to bring the former Juventus man to the club seemed quite real. And Sevilla director Joaquin Caparros admitted that while there is interest, it is going to be difficult to sign him.

"It is true that we have an interest in this player [Morata], but it is a very, very complicated operation," Caparros was quoted as saying.

"The player may want to come here over other options, but it is very complicated. Chelsea are a club who are very difficult to negotiate [with]."

Matthijs De Ligt is among the most wanted defenders in the world right now. With interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City, he is expected to make a move to a big club somewhere down the line but, according to the player, it won’t be in the January transfer window.

"A move will not be happening this transfer window," he said. "Ajax fans will not have to worry about that."

Meanwhile, Newcastle are eying a move for Yacine Brahimi, who has also been linked with Everton, as scouts from the Magpies were seen in attendance to witness the attacking midfielder.

O Jogo also add that Newcastle and Norwich scouts were also there and so were Manchester United scouts, who came to watch Eder Militao in action. Speaking of Manchester United, our next section is indeed the…
