Ian Wright on Ramsey
Former Arsenal star Ian Wright has given his opinion on Aaron Ramsey’s contractual situation at the Gunners. The Welshman left the Gunners to join Juventus and Wright claims that the ones in charge of negotiating his contract had left the club.
As a result, the Gunners were in a bit of a quandary. He also claimed that the contracts handed out to the players at the club are “top heavy”.
“Decisions were being made, in respect of Aaron Ramsey’s contract, before it was starting to run down and were being made by people who were no longer there,” Wright said.
“They’ve gone on to pastures new and left Arsenal in a little bit of a mess. In the contracts they’ve given people, it was very top heavy in the squad and we can see that in the way the guys are performing."
