The form that Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley has shown for Chelsea this season could save the club from spending £100 million on another midfielder, according to pundit Garth Cooks.
The duo have been good for the Blues so far this season and it seems as though the London outfit might not need to sign anyone as a reinforcement for that area.
“The England international [Ross Barkley] is starting to look like the player I first saw taking teams apart at Everton,” said Crooks.
“If he and Loftus-Cheek keep up their current form, Chelsea may save themselves a cool £100m.”
Meanwhile, West Ham are looking to make a cheeky bid for Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama in January. According to Football Insider, the Hammers intend to make the best use of the Kenyan’s fringe status with the Lilywhites and fetch him for themselves.
