MADRID, SPAIN – NOVEMBER 25: Radamel Falcao of Club Atletico de Madrid looks on during the La Liga match between Club Atletico de Madrid and Sevilla FC at Vicente Calderon Stadium on November 25, 2012 in Madrid, Spain.

Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has stated that he will most certainly stay at Atletico till the end of this season. The Columbian has been in fine form this season and is one the main reasons that Atletico have maintained a 100% Home record this season.

Chelsea were supposed to be tracking Falcao and club president Roman Abramovich was ready to activate his buyout clause this January which stands at a staggering £48million, but Falcao has stated that he has been greatly moved by the efforts of club president to keep him at Atletico and is determined to stay on put for the time being.

He added,‘I recognise the great effort Enrique Cerezo has made for me to stay at the club.

‘And thank goodness our sporting results have been positive. We expect that to remain so until the end of the season.’
